I Have a Question About a Section on an Online Application for a Job?
I am filling out an application for a job at Home Depot online. I am only applying to the part time Freight Position. There is a skills assessment part on there, and I don’t know what they’re asking. The question says please select all the work skills you possess. There are different categories with drop down menus. A couple of the categories are blinds & Wallpaper, Cashier, Electrical Light and Flooring and go through each of the different departments in Home Depot. Under each drop down menu there are these options to choose from: Interest, Novice, DIYer, Profession. I don’t have skills in any of the categories, since I have been working at a Vet’s office, so what do I select? What do each of those options mean? Why would I need to fill out all of those categories if I am only applying for a Freight Associate position? All they do is stock.
They have one generic application for all positions, so you are going to have to answer alot of questions which don’t make sense for the position you are applying. Novice: some experience in that, know a little about doing it. Interest: no experience, but you’d be interested in learning about it.
DIYer…do it yourselfer..you have eg.put down your own floor at home, or hung blinds at your house. Professional: you are a professional laying floors, etc……Be honest, or you’ll end up in the wallpaper department. GOOD LUCK!

The natural beauty of pine cones often escapes those who see an abundance of them at the change of season. Pine cones can be used to decorate the house just as they are, or they can be converted into many different kinds of useful or decorative thingamajigs.
One of the simplest ways of using them to beautify an area of the home is to combine a few branches of pine cones, with branches of winterberry, and set them atop a mantel or a window frame. Before we start with some easy pine cone decorations, you should collect pine cones of different sizes, shapes, and textures, for there is a wide variety around, and each can be used for a different purpose. Here are some ways of how to make pine cone decorations. Read on arts and crafts.Pine cones make fantastic Christmas ornaments. One can string them onto the branches of the tree just the way they are. If you find this look too rustic, you can add richness to them by painting or spray painting them in gold and/or silver metallic paint. Those who like the extra shimmer can throw on some glitter before the paint dries. Another option, for truly royal looking pine cones is to gild them with Dutch metal.
Another way of how to make pine cone crafts to hang from the tree or elsewhere, is by first making a small hole at the top and bottom of each pine cone. You can either use regular or spray painted cones. Place silver gray beads on eye pins, and stick them in the holes you’ve made. Use a little glue to hold them secure. Use sheer ribbon to suspend these decorations from the branches of your Christmas tree or elsewhere.
Pine Cone Flowers
Some people may feel more comfortable using the cones after treating them. Now take a saw, and cut the stalk in a way to get one or two good flowers from a medium sized cone, apart from the top. Now spray on a light application of a lacquer or acrylic spray, to coat the cut area, and brush on some glitter on the ends. Use these flowers along with silk pine spray to create a very pretty Christmas centerpiece.
Another way to make a table centerpiece with pine cones is to take a beautiful array of bloomed deep red roses, and set them in a round arrangement. Use a semi circular floral oasis, and arrange rose stems and greens on its, with pine cones added in between. Alternately, make the arrangement around a glass candle holder. Another of my favorite pine cone decorations, because of their simplicity, are tiny pine cone trees. What I marvel at, is the simplicity of this Christmas decoration. Just place small pine cones in silver bowls or candlesticks, and top each with a glittering star. Place a small shot glass candle nest to it, on the table. Another idea is to spray the pine cones silver the way we did in the first decoration, and then string it along with some berries and a bell.
