you may not know this but neo angelique abyss was basically based on an otome game, which is basically a dating game targeted towards female. so in the game, the choices you make determine who you end up with. because of this, they left the neo angelique abyss anime open-ended since there are various endings. i think this may have been the queen ending (supposedly a good ending), but i’m not sure. so in the game, it can be anyone you want.
i was rooting for rayne (the red haired guy with the gun) though. darn. ^^
