desktop icons question?
hi. I have windows 7 ultimate 32 bit and I like very much to see to whole wallpaper in the desktop like autohide the taskbar (up) autohide rocketdock (down) and desktop icons. but My problem is:
I dont like to spend everytime 2-3 seconds to click show desktop and enter in that folder and then hide desktop icons.. its annoying.
Now my question is:
Is a way to autohide desktop icons by mouse hovering?? I mean when you hover on icons the icons appear and disappear. The same thing like autohide taskbar!!

You can use the Stardock software call Fences. It organized your icons in any category you create. http://www.stardock.com/products/fences/ The personal edition lets you double click on your desktop and hide all your icons and when you double click again it will reappear. In the pro edition, you can have the icons to be faded out, and when your mouse hovers over it, it can reappear. Hope this is what you’re looking for.

Overall registry is the central data base that comes with Microsoft Windows operating system, storing all information and settings about software, hardware, user settings, etc.

Windows 7 Problems!!!!?
Here are some problems I’m having with my new Asus laptop with Windows 7:
1. When I restart it (turn it off then on) all of my display settings are gone. It is just set to an asus wallpaper and the taskbar is set on auto-hide.
2. The red “X”, maximize, and minimize buttons are smaller than they usually are. I would like them back to the way they were when it came out of the box, bigger.
3. This sort of ties in with #1. When I change something like my desktop wallpaper or disable the taskbar auto-hide, when I restart it the settings are not there anymore. Like I said, it is just an Asus wallpaper and a taskbar i cannot change.
4. In the display > themes part of the control panel, where you can change the window color, when i click on that, instead of a window where you can easily change the window color, a small window comes up where you can change the color of a lot of stuff, with the exception of the wondow color.

The things you describe happen because your NetBook only has Windows 7 Starter Edition, which is pure junk. W7 Home Premium will do what you want.
If you want W7 Home Premium, for example, you have to buy the downloadable Upgrade from Asus, because your PC likely doesn’t have a DVD drive, either.
